ICEF HSE Hosts the Annual Joint ICEF-NES Workshop in Finance 2026
On June 4, 2026, the International College of Economics and Finance (ICEF) at HSE University hosted the Joint ICEF-NES Workshop in Finance organized by the International Laboratory of Financial Economics. The workshop took place in a hybrid format, bringing together offline participants on the HSE campus at 11 Pokrovsky Boulevard and online attendees. The Workshop featured four topical research presentations, covering a wide range of issues from the role of the financial system in China's economic growth to the theory of corporate governance.
The programme included the following research talks:
- Zeming Wang (SWUFE) with the presentation "The Source of Unbalanced Growth: Evidence from China's Bank and Non-bank Finance"
- Aleksey Kolokolov (NES) with the paper "Realized Regularized Regressions"
- Alex Boulatov (ICEF HSE) with the research "Competition and Commitment of Informed Speculators"
- Timur Sobolev (NES) with the presentation "All on Board: Corporate Governance and Co-Determination"
Each presentation was followed by a Q&A session, which gave participants the opportunity to discuss the ideas presented.
